Father’s Day will be here in the blink of an eye, Miami. If Dad is more of a game-watching, beer-drinking, crowd-loving type of guy, an afternoon at a sports bar might be the perfect gift. And sports bars in Miami aren’t your typical outing. They come complete with curated menus, specially crafted drinks, and of course, sweet waterfront views.

This Father’s Day let Dad kick back, enjoy some wings and take in some sunshine.

Here’s where to start:

Burger and Beer Joint – 900 South Miami Avenue Suite 130

Burger and Beer Joint is about as straightforward as they come. If Dad favors a nice juicy burger and likes to pair it with an ice cold beer, this is the place for him. They’re located in Pembroke Pines, Brickell and even West Palm Beach, so you have your pick of South Florida locations. Plus, they always offer tons of specials. After 7pm on Mondays, you can get a bottle of wine for half the price. From 4-7pm through the week, you can get half off cocktails, draft beers and wine. Tuesday has been deemed “Pimp My Burger Tuesdays,” and Dad can get a custom-made burger for just $10 and any Tito’s Vodka cocktail for just $6.

Fado Irish Pub – 900 South Miami Avenue

You’ve probably heard of Fado Irish Pub for their massive St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, but they’re also a solid option on normal days too. They show a variety of games and even list what they’re broadcasting on their site. They have lots of specials every day, and they offer a great weekend brunch until 3:30pm. Try the Irish breakfast sandwich, which has Irish sausage, rashers, fried egg and potatoes. If Dad is up to it, he can also try the strawberry beer’mosa, which is Sixpoint’s Lo-Res IPA, strawberry puree and orange juice.

Black Market Miami – 168 SW 1st Street

Black Market Miami is truly special. The establishment prides itself on bringing the nostalgia and history of Miami to its guests every single day. It strives to never forget Miami’s glory days while also celebrating the now, and it does so while offering great drinks, great entertainment and even greater food. Have Dad try the house mac-and-cheese with cheddar, parmesan and Swiss cheese or the pulled pork flatbread with mozzarella and caramelized onions.

Batch Gastropub – 30 SW 12th Street

Batch is great because it fuses a sports bar vibe with modern living. For instance, it comes standard with large flat screens and high top booths, but the food is all locally and responsibly sourced. It allows Dad to kick back and unwind with friends, but it also serves only the freshest and highest quality dishes. Treat Dad to the divine swine pizza, which has artisan pepperoni, salami, bacon, asiago cheese and arugula.

American Social – 690 SW 1st Court

American Social is a relatively new restaurant, but it’s been steadily making strides in the Brickell area. They offer happy hour specials, views of downtown Miami and even have cushiony booths and chairs for guests. You don’t have to think twice about straddling an uncomfortable stool or worrying about what to drink. Try their brunch chicken and waffles, which has bourbon mascarpone, maple syrup and powdered sugar on top.

When you and Dad have had all you can eat, head over to our nearby Brickell hotel and continue the fun. Hotel Urbano at Brickell has an outdoor pool with cabanas and shade that he’ll love.

Eat well, enjoy the sun, and celebrate Dad in the best Miami way.
