Art Basel Miami Beach is Almost Here

The time has come, Miami. It’s the time to grab your loved ones, and take them out for a cultured night out. It’s time to experience art, expression and creativity in the best city in the world. Art Basel is almost here, and it’s time to take full advantage.

Art Basel Miami Beach will be December 7th through the 10th, and it’ll be an experience you don’t want to miss. The show will highlight art from all over the globe, and it brings together thousands of critics, collectors, artists and curators every single year.

Here’s a bit of what you can expect in this year’s showcase:

The show will feature artwork from more than 4,000 artists in hundreds of unique galleries. Everything from paintings to sculptures to digital art will be on full display. Some of the featured galleries include the Miguel Abreu Gallery, Cherry and Martin, Contemporary Fine Arts, Metro Pictures and much, much more.

Nova is designed to show work that’s been created within the last three years. It features original, never-before-seen pieces directly from the artists themselves. Some of the Nova exhibitions include Essex Street, Foxy Production and Ratio 3.

Positions is an aspect of Art Basel that highlights up and coming artists. It’s designed to provide a platform where new artists can present a single, yet substantial piece. Some of the rising artists include Adam Gordon, Jamal Cyrus and Harold Mendez.

This feature of the show will take guests outside and into a more physical realm of Art Basel Miami Beach. You can experience sculptures and installations live and up close in Collins Park. This feature is curated by Philipp Kaiser, and is produced in collaboration with the Bass Museum of Art.

The Film sector of the art showcase will also take guests outside. If you’re a film enthusiast or someone who prefers to experience art in a more familiar way, this feature may be for you. Selected films will be shown on a 7,000-square-foot projection at SoundScape Park, and you can get as comfortable and as cozy as you’d like.

Tickets for this all-encompassing event are on sale now. You can wait until the day of your preferred show and get tickets at the venue, but it’s encouraged to act beforehand. Lines and wait times can get hectic, so ordering tickets in advance may save you some trouble. Students, seniors and school groups are all eligible for discounted tickets. Kids 12 years old and under get in free with an adult.

If you’re coming to town for the show and need a hotel for Art Basel Miami, the Hilton Garden Inn South Beach is the place to book. We’re near the beach and all the Art Basel festivities, so we’re in perfect proximity to everything you’ll need. Plus, we offer great rates and have a full-service restaurant right on the grounds.

Enjoy your stay, and enjoy the one-of-a-kind experience of Art Basel.
