This will be the 31st year of the Vizcaya Halloween Sundowner held at Vizcaya Museum & Gardens. The event will feature a costume contest, and there’s a special fee for museum members of only $130 for general admission. The VIP package is $250 and includes access to an exclusive bar, entertainment, a catered buffet and on-site parking. All proceeds of the event benefit the museum and the preservation of “the jewel of South Florida.” The event is Saturday, October 28th.
Dancing on a yacht while dressed as the blonde Kim K. sounds like a pretty Miami way to celebrate Halloween. This annual yacht party will take place Saturday, October 28th, aboard the luxurious South Beach Lady. There are cash bars on every level of the boat along with cabana style furniture and flat screen TVs. Come dressed to impress – and to party – because this will be one Halloween you won’t forget. General admission tickets are $65.
Go on a Ghost Tour
Miami’s Deering Estate offers a Halloween experience that’s a little less loud but just as thrilling. If you’re into the paranormal at all, a personal and up-close ghost tour might be exactly what you need to make your holiday special! With their specialized Ghost Tour, you can hear real stories from paranormal investigations and visit the historic homes in person. With Deering Estate’s Spookover, you will take a guided tour from paranormal investigators themselves and attempt to reach the lingering spirits in the area. The Ghost Tour is $30 with options on October 19th and the 26th. The Spookover is $65 and is Friday, October 13th.
Take the Kids to the Pumpkin Patch
The Coconut Grove Pumpkin Patch Festival is a family-oriented way to celebrate the season and the spooky holiday. It’s October 21st and the 22nd, and general admission is $20. The festival will have something for the young ones of all ages, including carnival rides and games, a corn stalk maze and pumpkin decorating. There will also be an opportunity to test your costuming skills on something else for a change. Head to the Scarecrow Village and dress up your scarecrow as scary or as silly as you want.
