SoBe Seafood Festival Coming Soon

September 21, 2017315Views

There’s seafood you can purchase from a store, and then there’s fresh seafood in Miami. There are seafood festivals, and then there’s the South Beach Seafood Festival. Understand what we’re getting at? There are opportunities everywhere to get a decent seafood meal, but then there’s eating freshly-cooked, made-with-love, melt-in-your-mouth seafood at Miami Beach. If you’d prefer the latter, which we’re sure you would, you’re in for a savory treat!

The South Beach Seafood Festival is coming to our favorite beach on October 21st, and not only will you get to devour some of your favorite dishes, but you get the added satisfaction of knowing you’re helping a worthy cause. A portion of the festival proceeds will go toward the Community Initiatives Foundation and their “Eat Smart” program, which benefits Miami Beach youth.

The festival is sponsored by Kendall Jackson and presented by Coca-Cola and Jack Daniel’s and is expecting more than 10,000 eager visitors. There will be a complimentary open bar, live music, games, entertainment and even cooking demonstrations live and up close. This means you can go back home not only stuffed, but with new recipes and cooking skills to show off to those you love.

And if you want to get the party started early, that’s possible too! On Friday, the 20th, as part of South Beach Seafood Week overall, there will be a total chef showdown with the competitions Battle Lobster, Battle Taco, Battle Tuna, Battle Surf ‘N’ Turf, Battle Fish, and Battle Shrimp, with representatives from Miami’s best like Joe’s Stone Crab and Mondrian South Beach.

This seafood festival is open to all and has something for everyone to enjoy. Tickets start at $45 for general admission, and the VIP ticket ($150) gets you a $20 food voucher, entrance to GOYA’s Culinary Pavilion with private bars and music, extended hours and more!

We know it all sounds too good to be true, but it’s real, and it’s happening, Miami. Drink all the whisky you want, and don’t stop eating shrimp until you feel like it. You don’t even have to worry about getting back home. Book a room at our nearby South Beach hotel, and leave all worries at the door.

Enjoy the South Beach Seafood Festival!
