Think you’ve got what it takes to tackle a triathlon? To compete against the best in a battle of swimming, biking and running? If so, the South Beach Triathlon, coming to the city on April 2nd, is the place to prove yourself.
The race is open to athletes of all levels, but it’s sure to be one to challenge your strength, determination and abilities. Participants will start with a .93 mile swim in cozy, nearly 80-degree weather. They’ll then bike 24.25 miles through scenic downtown Miami followed by a 6.2 mile run leading them back to South Beach.
There will also be lots of groups tackling the triathlon hand in hand! Well, not exactly, but they’ll be doing it together for a great cause! Organizations like the 1000 Miles Run Club, Black Girls Run and the Fort Lauderdale Triathletes are already signed up.
We know the race will be amazing and fulfilling, and honestly, at least a little exhausting, so we’d be remiss if we didn’t remind you of our accommodating and nearby South Beach hotel. The Royal Polo Miami Beach has plush and relaxing rooms designed to help you decompress after such an ambitious event.
And after you’ve got all the R&R you need, take a nice, slow stroll outside and enjoy the beach in a whole different way.
The South Beach Triathlon is sponsored by LifeTime Fitness, and it benefits Save The Children, an organization that’s been dedicated to the livelihood and rights of children since 1919.
