It’s basketball season, Miami! This means you have all the opportunity in the world to trash talk, to wear your favorite jersey every day (just be sure to wash it!) and to be perpetually glued to your big screen. You also have completely free reign to claim your favorite table at your favorite sports bar, and no one is allowed to judge you…well, we can’t really make that assertion, but the point is, we support it. We support it because we support the Miami Heat, and we know you do too.
HOWEVER, for those of you who may be new to the city and haven’t quite adjusted to the Miami Heat fanatic way of living, here are a few incentives that may help you get acclimated.
It’s all about the fans!
And we don’t mean the bandwagoners who try to come aboard when we’re up. We also don’t mean those flimsy fans who jump ship at the first sight of trouble. We’re talking about the fans who have been consistently loyal to the Miami Heat simply because they truly love the organization…the fans who were celebrating and screaming when we won back to back titles in 2012 and 2013, but also the fans who were there in 2006…the fans who have those iconic red jerseys of Shaq’s and Mourning’s and Haslem’s and all of The Big Three…the fans that are down for The Heat regardless of that season’s top players and stats…When you go to a Miami Heat game, you experience that kind of love and dedication, those types of fans, and that’s a basketball game you don’t want to miss.

The Miami Heat play at the American Airlines Arena in downtown Miami, which is near some of the best attractions in all of the city to be honest. You can go see the game surrounded by passionate fans, save bucks in the process and explore more of a beautiful, lively city.
The Brickell area is full of great Miami restaurants including Havana 1957. While there, try their signature Cubano sandwich, and don’t worry about getting too full and having to drive back home. Brickell is also home to some of Miami’s top hotels like the Homewood Suites Miami/Brickell and Hotel Urbano at Brickell Miami . Both of these properties provide plush and accommodating rooms designed for your comfort, so feel free to stuff yourself at dinner in preparation for some truly epic sleep.
Budding Miamians, don’t be the only one at the office who didn’t see these ballers in person. Trust us, the experience is so worth it!
