National Soccer teams from Colombian and Haiti will square off next month in their final friendly game before the 2016 Copa America Centenario tournament beings in June.
The match will be held at Marlins Park in Miami on May 29 during Memorial Day Weekend. This will be the first time Colombia and Haiti have faced off since 2009 when Colombia came out on top with a 2-0 final score.
Both countries have an enormous fan base in Miami and the surrounding area which will make for an exciting game both on the field and in the stands.
Both teams are preparing for the Copa America Centerario, which is begin held here in the United States. This is the first time the tournament has been hosting outside of South America in its history.
The tournament will begin on June 3 in Santa Clara, Calif. with a game between Colombia and the American team. Haiti will square off against Ecuador the next day in Pasadena. The Haiti vs Colombia game at Marlins Park next month is meant to get both teams ready for the real thing.
Colombia is focused on winning as many games as possible as they work on qualifying to pay in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The Copa American Centenario will span from June 3 to the final match against the top two teams on June 26 in East Rutherford, NJ. For a full schedule head over to ca2016.com.
