Rolling Loud music festival

For music lovers nationwide, this is the most exciting time of the year: it’s festival season. Every month there is yet another place to belt out the lyrics of your favorite artists and also stay on the cutting edge with new music from the industries most promising new comers.

When you think of Miami’s music fest culture, the Ultra Music Festival is known for the bone-crushing crowds of EDM fans. But another group of is looking to create a similar scene for hip-hop heads.

The guys over at Dope Ent. are bringing the second annual Rolling Loud Festival back to Miami next month, this time as a two-day music festival at Mana Wynwood on May 6th and 7th. The festival features hip-hop artists that have reached mainstream success as well as a few local artists that have already proven that they have what it takes to grow their own fan bases performing on three stages.

Atlanta rapper Young Thug will headline the first night of the festival while Future, also from Atlanta, will close out the festival on night two, according to a partial lineup released by Dope Ent. last month. They later announced that Ty Dolla $ign and 2 Chains will also perform. For a full list of entertainers expected to perform and to buy general admission and VIP tickets, visit

The hip-hop festival was years in the making. The idea to create it was first sparked about five years before the inaugural festival in February 2015, the entertainment company told the Miami New Times last year.

Of course, things didn’t exactly go smoothly the first time around. Rain forced organizers to temporarily close an outdoor stage, juggle acts and even scrub a few of them. Sound issues also ruined some otherwise great acts, according to media reviews that came after the festival.

Still, there are no music festivals in Miami that caters to hip-hop heads the way Dope Ent promises to do it with Rolling Loud. So it’s definitely worth it to come visit and be an early adopter and grow with these guys.

Here’s to hoping for better weather and seamless technology this time around!

While you planning the trip down make sure you’ll be staying in the center of all the action. Book your stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Miami South Beach – Royal Polo.
