The Hess Wines South Beach Seafood Festival hosted by Coca-Cola celebrates South Florida’s inventive seafood creations and helps Miami kick off its annual Stone Crab season every October. Thousands of locals will flock to Ocean Drive’s Lummus Park on October 24th to experience the seasonal selections of Miami’s top chefs and restaurants during an all-day festival. The South Beach Seafood Festival features live music, culinary and mixology demonstrations, a kids zone, health village, and even a sports bar showing the day’s college football matchups right on the sand. The week begins with An Evening at Joe’s, a Hess Select 4-course dining experience at the world famous Joe’s Stone Crab in Miami Beach. The week continues on Thursday, October 22nd with an all-new event called Cooking & Cocktails, an interactive cooking & mixology experience at the Wine Theater at Miami Dade College. The 2nd annual Chef Showdown returns to the GOYA Culinary Pavilion on October 23rd at 9th & Ocean Drive, Miami Beach, welcoming local executive chefs in head-to-head culinary battles featuring a variety of styles and cuisines. Last, the South Beach Seafood Festival closes the week on October 24th with a bevy of delectable dishes prepared by the restaurants that shape innovative seafood cuisine in South Florida. A portion of proceeds from the South Beach Seafood Festival benefit the Community Initiatives Foundation, whose program EAT SMART fulfills the perfect balance between youth nutrition and childhood development by providing healthy weekend meals and frequent outdoor activity to children in Miami Beach.
