Every month this year, Miami is celebrating a different part of the city’s rich culture and history. October is Miami Attractions month and we are here to tell you about three must see attractions when you and your family visit.
Enjoy special savings on all five of these activities October 1-30!
Ever wanted to explore the wilds of South America, Asia and Africa? Well, now you have your chance! Experience a tropical Amazonian rain forest filled with hundreds of exotic monkeys. See Great Apes in real life! The Monkey Jungle contains one of the richest fossil deposits in Southern Florida, with more than 5,000 specimens.
Coral Castle is considered a national treasure by locals and tourists alike. Built in 1923 by Ed Leedskalnin, this “little “ museum is top ranked by TripAdvisor, Yelp, and a Top 10 Historic Hot Spot in South Florida. Coral Castle was built at night, in secret, in the name of love with some blocks of coral weighing more than the largest blocks from the great pyramids of Egypt. A true marvel, Ed sculpted coral stone into a nine-ton gate, a 28-ton obelisk and a sun dial that shows both the time and season.
Wings Over Miami Air Museum
Located at the Miami Executive Airport in southwest Miami, this museum serves as a tribute to those veterans and aviators who pioneered military and civilian aviation. Exhibits include aircraft from World War II era to more familiar modern aircraft. During the weekends, it’s not uncommon to see classic and warbirds aircraft in flight as well as in the museum’s hangar.
All of these attractions will have specials running through October! Don’t miss out.
