Top 5 Miami Hurricane Home Games in 2015

Today isn’t a national holiday, but it might as well be because football is back! The Miami Hurricane season doesn’t get going until this Saturday but any football is good football.

The NFL will soon be getting started up as well, there is nothing quite like the spirit and tradition of college football. Especially in Miami, where the University of Miami football program, or more simply The U, still hold weight as one of the most distinguishable brands in of college sports.

Here are the top 5 games that will be played at Sun Life this fall:

Saturday, September 5 @ 6 PM – Bethune-Cookman

Bethune-who? This one makes the list simply because football will be back! There’s nothing like the first home game of the season. Reuniting with old friends, tailgating, and celebrating what should be an easy W for the Hurricanes.

Saturday, September 19 @ 3:30 – Nebraska

Nebraska, 9-4 in 2014, is coming off of one of its best season since moving to the Big 10 a few years back. This is a matchup of powerhouse names in College Football. Day Games are better in Miami.

Saturday, October 24 @ TBA – Clemson

Clemson comes into the season looking like a contender for a College Football Playoff spot. If that is the case, they will come into this conference matchup ranked and Miami will be facing an opportunity to boost its own ranking by breaking Clemson hearts.

Saturday November 4, @ TBA – Virginia

Virginia finished last season at 5-7 and didn’t qualify for a bowl game but they beat Miami 30-13 late in the season, their only win after October 4. The Miami Hurricanes should be seeking revenge in this matchup.

Saturday November 21, @ TBA – Georgia Tech

Georgia Tech played in the ACC title game last season vs. Florida State and were close to getting the job done, just as Miami was in their matchup vs. Florida State last season. This late season matchup could, and probably will, be pivotal in the ACC standings.

The Miami Hurricanes have high hopes coming into 2015. Can they meet expectations? We will soon find out.
