Boasting hundreds of museums and galleries, Miami is certainly no stranger to the art scene. Among its best hidden gems you’ll find an enchanting array of art walks. Steeped with history and kaleidoscope colors, these walks wind through various Miami neighborhoods and districts. Here is a look at some of our favorite Miami art walks:
Coral Gables Gallery Night – Gallery Night takes place on the first Friday of every month, and is free to the public from 6pm to 10pm. Hailed as one of Gables District’s best pedestrian adventures, this stroll runs along Ponce de Leon Boulevard between Southwest Eighth Street and the Douglas Road Metro station. Gallery Night has been a staple of City life for the last twenty years, and offers art enthusiasts a myriad of artwork from local talents. Take advantage of the free trolley, or walk from gallery to gallery. If you’re lucky, you might even get a free glass of wine.
Wynwood Art Walk – The Wynwood Art Walk occurs on the second Saturday of every month between 6pm and 10pm. Although much newer than some of its counterparts, the Wynwood Art Walk has become an esteemed event in its own right. This monthly happening features over sixty galleries operating throughout the Wynwood Art District. If time permits, mosey over to the famous Wynwood Walls. The best thing about this walk? There are food trucks located along the route at NW 23 Street and NW 2nd Avenue. You won’t have to look far for dinner and drinks!
Bird Road Art Walk – The Bird Road Art Walk is held the third Saturday of every month from 7pm to 10pm, and is completely free to the public. Now in its fourth year, the Bird Road Art Walk has quickly become one of the most exciting art walks in Miami. Artists-driven, it has created a foothold in an unlikely industrial area, which many thought time had forgotten. This walk is unique in that it celebrates a wide range of genres and mediums, and offers unique items for all tastes and budgets. Come discover why Bird Road is considered one of Miami’s most vibrant artist communities!
